Here's to you Jason Cole

I came to MCA from Illinois, because of a great scholarship and an opportunity to be completely swallowed alive in my art. I wanted nothing less than art school, and Memphis seemed connected enough in the world of art to get me somewhere after a degree. I want to get an undergraduate degree in Design Arts, concentrating in Illustration. But. Ultimately, I want to get my masters in Education. I want to use my art in some sort of service. I want to teach in a unconventional manner, where there is need. I want to teach over seas, working with Orphans, or people in third world countries, where I can use art to create opportunity and give them meaning. All the while, investing my own art in different cultures and people, and creating to raise awareness and create opportunity for Americans to help. It seems a little lofty, but I hold onto a lot of hope in it.

  1. You certainly seem to have some big and very noble goals. I wish you luck in whatever career path you may decide to take. I only suggest this: keep your mind open and don't close off other interest or opportunities that may come along.
